Sixteen Safer Cyclists!

The Ardmore Neighborhood Association (ANA) recently provided free bike helmets to sixteen budding cyclists. We partnered with Wesley Memorial UMC and the Bolton Elementary School Food Pantry, a collaboration of three churches: Trinity Presbyterian, Knollwood Baptist, and Wesley Memorial UMC.

ANA volunteers Amy Harp, Thom Hausle, Kay Wood, and Kate Mewhinney were thrilled to help the kids and their families, and as you can see in the pics, the kids are really excited about riding with their new helmets!

The volunteers worked with Matthew Burczyk, Principal Planner with the city’s Department of Transportation. The helmets were awarded to the ANA by the State Department of Transportation.

The ANA is thankful for our dedicated volunteers and the groups that partnered with us on this project!
