Join the Ardmore Neighborhood Association (ANA) and Preservation Forsyth (PF) for a short walking tour of Lockland Avenue to learn about the history and architectural details of the houses that were threatened with demolition.
All but one of the houses were built between 1923 and 1930, and nearly all of the houses are listed on the National Register as contributing to the Ardmore National Register District. PF’s mission, in regard to these houses, is to convince Atrium Health they are worth saving. The ANA seeks to protect the residential nature of Ardmore.
The walking tour is free and open to the public. The ANA’s opposition to demolition is explained here: https://ardmore.ws/news/expect-more/
