The Ardmore Home Tour, hosted by the Ardmore Neighborhood Association, invites you to explore one of Winston-Salem’s most beloved, historic neighborhoods.

Wander through eight beautifully preserved and creatively updated homes, each with its own story, character and architectural flair. Whether you’re a long-time resident, a history buff, or simply curious, the Ardmore Home Tour is your front-row ticket to the heart of our community.

Volunteers: A free ticket will be given to each volunteer who is selected for a 2-hour minimum time slot. Sign ups for volunteers will begin in early October, so check back for details. Thanks!

FAQs

Do I need to bring my ticket with me?

Yes, please bring your e-ticket to Ardmore Baptist Church in order to pick up your wristband, map, and brochure.

Ticket pick up starts at 1 PM on Sunday, December 7. You cannot get in without your e-ticket.

Where does the tour begin?

You may start at any home on the tour. A map and addresses will be provided when you pick up your entrance wristband.

What are the tour hours?

The homes will be open from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Please plan to arrive early enough to visit all the homes you’d like to tour.

How long should I plan for the tour?

Most participants spend 2–3 hours, but you can move at your own pace.

Can I take photos inside the homes?

Photography is not permitted inside the homes.

Are food or drinks allowed inside the homes?

No, to protect the homes and furnishings, food and drinks are not allowed inside.

Can children attend?

Yes, children aged 12 and older are welcome, but they need their own ticket and must be accompanied by an adult. Strollers and carseats are not permitted inside homes. Infants should be in a baby carrier.

Will restrooms be available?

Restrooms will not be available inside private homes. Public restrooms are available at Ardmore Baptist Church

Is the tour wheelchair/stroller accessible?

Sadly, our homes are not accessible.

What if it rains?

The tour takes place rain or shine, so please dress accordingly.

Is parking available?

Yes, street parking is available near most homes. Please be mindful of neighbors and posted parking signs. The Triad Trolley will also be available free of charge during the tour, stopping at Ardmore Baptist and each home every 10-15 minutes.

Can I walk the tour?

Yes! Walking is welcome and a map will be provided at check in. The total distance of the route is approximately 2.25 miles.
