Fall Plant Swap
October 24, 2020 • 11:00 am – 2:00 pm

October is an ideal time to divide flowering plants. Most perennials benefit from being thinned periodically. If you’re going to dig up any of your flowers, consider keeping some of the divisions to bring to this year’s ANA Plant Swap.
Bring whatever you have, swap it for something wonderful from the other plants that were donated, then stick around for some socially distant garden talk with your neighbors. If you don’t have a plant to bring with you, don’t worry! Come anyway and we will have a plant for you to take home.
In the past, people have brought hostas, daylilies, coneflowers, asters, Autumn Joy red sedum, phlox, astilbes, lavender, Black-eyed Susans, bleeding heart, ornamental grasses, coral bells, Lily of the Valley, even some herbs.
For experienced and beginning gardeners alike, a North Carolina Master Gardener and a representative from Elderberry Creek Farm & Nursery will be on hand to answer questions and help with problem-solving. For questions or to volunteer, please contact us!
The Ardmore Neighborhood Association’s plant swap is held with the cooperation and sponsorship of the Ardmore Gateway Garden. All participants are required to observe social distancing and wear a mask.
